Shiseido CEO Retires

The company's new president and CEO will begin April 1, 2013.

Hisayuki Suekawa, Shiseido’s president and CEO, will retire as of March 31st, 2013. Suekawa is retiring due to health issues, but will remain with Shiseido as a senior advisor.

The company has named a replacement – current chairman Shinzo Maeda, who will serve as Shiseido’s new president and CEO as of April 1st, 2013.

Maeda has been with Shiseido since 1970, and has held several management positions since 1996. Since 2003, Maeda has served as one of Shiseido’s directors and corporate officers.
